How to profit from this ultimate Run Training Challenge

 

Hello dear Runmate and Superhuman-being,


Two months of amazing coaching (with a team of special scientific experts in the background) to accompany you: whether you are starting into a running routine, whether you are a come-back runner, or an ambitious hobby athlete - you're in the best of hands.


As the coaching part of the RUN TRAINING CHALLENGE there is a weekly interactive online meeting on Mondays, where essential topics around running, fitness, health, individual optimal weight, performance improvement, mental focus and holistic recovery and relaxation are discussed alongside training tips and training focus for the current week. This session usually lasts between 40 and 90 minutes depending on the topic of the week and the need for interaction. Everything is recorded and can also be listened to passively live or afterwards.


If you would like an individual fully detailed training plan and guidance, you can book the RUN PERFORMANCE COACHING and we will have an individual meeting before the group call to go through your detailed personal plan for the week. This will usually take 20 minutes. If you book as partners or group of friends we will also do this call in a small individual group and it will last up to an hour depending on the group size.


A short feedback call to the past weeks training usually takes place at the end of the week on Sundays.


During the week I can be contacted via Messenger. In the background, there is a team of doctors, osteopaths, coaching experts and professional athletes to provide you with the best possible support, advice and, if necessary, referrals.

Motivation

Yes, it is about running, much more so it is about creating motivation and setting foundations for a healthy joyous, energetic life-style. This Challenge is going to boost your fitness, self-determination, longevity and life force. The intention of an efficient running schedule goes hand in hand with other primal needs and human being blossoms: with the art of posture, attitute, breathing, sleeping and nurturing, as well as the embodiment of selflove, significans and belonging.

Motivation is the result of a motive (Goal) and its activation creating  momentum. In fact, we need to get started first, and be in the game for about 30% before motivation really kicks in and becomes intrinsic. That saying, do not wait for it. Initiate the first step and take this challenge to be accountable.

Running serves as a foundational fitness boost for any other sport, as much as it is great as a performance sport itself, and it is amazing for learning personal universal pattern that underlie your mind's perspectives and motivations.

Some of you want to refresh and remind their bodies of its forgotten fitness. Others might want to be accountable with their training to become a finisher of a new achievment goal.

Or maybe you feel the calling for stress relief and to create uplifting energy:  Learning how to enter into the flow-state of running will help you to let go of stressful thinking and refresh your brain activity into a postive productive thinking at ease.  High intensity positive stresses of running (eustress) opposed to negative stresses (disstress) that accumulate in services at busy worklifes or family lifes will boost your longevity. Therefore, Running is going to be your permission to self care and letting go of mental stresses while it will empower your spirit and also feed the animal inside of you. Aligning with your own rhythm and focusing on your bodies potential can have a huge positive impact on your everyday life.

Training Challenge Info

  • You will get access to our UTRC Runclub community platform with access to all resources, call recordings and chats
  • There will be two live calls every week
    • Monday: Challenge Calls at 6pm (CEST) 40-90 min.
    • Sunday: Feedback Calls at 6pm (CEST)  20-40 min.
  • Calls will be recorded
  • During the Monday calls we go through the weeks training focus, ask and answer questions. you will get ideas and tips to plan your won training week. (for a personal detailed Training plan please upgrade this ticket with the Personal Performance Challenge Coaching)
  • In the first month we focus on basic training and technique,f basic endurance, first speed workouts and will move into more volume as well as specific tempo trainings in the second month. Next to Rest days, a full Recovery week is planned each month. For women we coach you how to set up your training according to your cycle.
  • Every week we have one topic challenging an essential lifestyle feature that boost not only your running performance but more so your overall fitness and well-being (i.e. breathing, stretching, technique, timing, sleeping, nutrition, performance mind-set etc.)
  • We talk about equipment like shoes, water-nutrition-suply bags and belts, watches, chest straps, . . .
  • Have you registered for a running event yet? You do not have to have a running goal when you enter the challenge, you do not need to register for any race at all either. You are free to use this challenge to simply enjoy a running schedule, get started with running or get motivation for upleveling your running performance and fitness, and to connect to a running community. 
  • My goal is to meet each other in person for some training sessions or for a bigger running event at point to experience its high energetic vibes

While the Basic Challenges focuses mostly on setting up and understanding the foundations of efficient and healthy training, this challenge will go deeper into guided specific individual training details.

Training professionally is fun. Whether you want to have that experience of performance or whether you are interested in healthy personal guidance you are very welcome to receive your weekly Trainingplan tailored to your needs, goals, circumstances and challenges in an additional weekly call.

There will be additional calls on Monday before the main group call, which will be 1:1 or together with your training partner or your training group, in which we will go through your personal training plan for the week.

First month:

  • Focus on evaluating your status quo, setting racepaces and your individual training profile and preferences
  • Performance tests (Lactate/Alternatives)

Second Month

  • Race Mindset and your individual Race strategy including nutrition
  • Learning how to be your own best coach, by then you will understand the training modalities and how to create your own training plans

For women: we will set up your training plan according to your cycle to connect you to your natural flows and rhythms of your individual intrinsic nature and unlock your superpowers not only for running but also for an intentional living that rests in your essence and supports your own inner rhytms and needs.

If you have already purchased the TRAINING CHALLENGE and gained access to the community platform and the main groups recourses, now you can claim your Performance Challenge Slot and we will set up an apointment for mondays.

You will always be able to upgrade during the course of the basic Training Challenge and this service will always last eight weeks.

Dr. Ulrike Gerken - Ulli

Hey and Welcome to this Running Club Container. I am so honored you are here and that your curiosity connects us.

As I am hugely interested in Longevity Lifestyle (its scientific and spiritual underlying principles) I am working on some projects in this field, and really felt the greatest passion towards creating an international community of runners.

I have travelled quite a bit during the last years changing countries and taking part in international sport events and while everything is easier with love, connection and purpose, I know it will also be much more fun to run motivating each other, taking care of each others fitness and potential to share adventures together and create opportunities from a state of aspiration.

I love running for its simplicity and baseline principles of motivation, motive and movement, and its range from focused training to unintentional flow, from performing to recovery.

I got into more intentional running after I had three knee surgeries in three subsequent years and both knees traumatized. I started to align my body with awareness, calistehnics helped a lot, before I also started climbing and biking and I have no knee problems today, no matter the distance or speed I am running. So I know it is possible to recover and that body-awarness is key.

Running is my baseline for all other sports as it enhances my performance and possibilities in climbing, biking, hiking, paragliding, tennis, endurance adventures and everyday life.

Running awakens my inner strength to stand firm in my own power and beauty no matter what the world throws at me. I can translate this invincibility into my life’s challenges and that is something I also want to empower you to: tap into your own journey of strength and invincibility out of the comfort zone into your growing edges shifting into a new healthier well-being and self-determinated new reality. I am curious to witness you, and hear what runnig reveals to you . . .

I became a Dentist in 2014, worked in Germany in two dental offices and in an Oral Maxillofacial Surgery office until 2018 when I went to travel the world, dived into a mystical poetical spiritual perspective on life and death and eventually became a passionate researcher in Longevity science and spiritual consciousness shifting for the past few years.

I am an Instructor for Skiing and Snowboarding

I have Personal Training Experiences in Running

I have trained with semi-professional athletes and have always been fascinated by the huge effects that the quality of training has on the results. As with everything that we want to master and be efficient, healthy and long lasting with, it is not about running much, but about running smart to make the difference.

My Goal for this Challenge is to train for a 3 Hour Marathon.

For me it is not so much about the numbers, though, but about what the numbers make me feel, and what the journey of training and the race day experience reveals to me. I love to become smart and efficient in everything I am doing and from running I can always learn a lot.

Holger Spiegel - Soul

Holger is a passionate runner and soul triathlete. After being drawn into running by his father at the age of 12, endurance sports became a main focus and lifestyle.

Enjoying the experience, nature, connections to fellow athletes and epic events he did countless triathlon races all over the world, a large portion of them long distance triathlons, duathlons and ultra-triathlons.

Holger loves to share his experiences on training, nutrition, races and mind-set, and working in science as a molecular biologist he also loves to understand and discuss the biology behind physiological processes associated with endurance sports challenges.

As a core team member of the UTRC, Holger supports ULY and activley participates in Challenges and other UTRC activities.
