How to profit from this Training Challenge

Hello dear Runmate and Superhuman-being,

Two months of persnal coaching (with a team of special scientific experts in the background) to accompany you: whether you are starting into a running routine, whether you are a come-back runner, or an ambitious hobby athlete - you're in best of hands.

Every Monday you recieve your weekly training plan and there will be an optional interactive online meeting on Mondays with everyone joining to talk about the weeks track training, answer questions, and to talk about an essential topic around running, training zones, functional fitness, nutrition, individual optimal weight, performance improvement, mental focus, recovery and relaxation. This session lasts 20-30 minutes depending on the topic of the week and the need for interaction and can be listened to passively or interactively.

Feedback will be recorded as a journal after every sewssion and shared on sundays through voice or text, and you are also invited to share your runs through Apps like Strava or Garmin connect for best feedback to the coaches and training adjustment results.

During the week a whats app group provides you with the best possible support.

I'm really looking forward to seeing you, to supporting you in getting the best out of you, step by step, accompanying you in challenging times with self-esteem, self-care and self-affirmation and to motivate you with positive perspectives,

taking care of you,

yours Ulli

Meet our Team

Dr. Ulrike Gerken - Ulli

Dear sports friend,

Welcome to this running club space. I am very happy that you are here and curious about what we will experience together to empower you and see you run into freedom.

For me, running is a human bodies basic need and a basis for all other sports and adventures that we breathe and live for. I love running because of its simplicity and basic principles that can be applied to all other areas of life. Especially tapping into a vision (motive) to generate motivation and momentum, to get better, to get into the flow, to condition the body and to follow is a crutial aspect.

The range of training variations as well as unintentional running and stress reduction are incredibly important tools and I am happy to pass those on and see how they enrich your life. After I had three knee surgeries in 2013 and the following three years and both knees were traumatized, I began to train more specifically and nowadays utilize the value of functional movements (stability, mobility, flexibility, warm-ups, etc). In fact, nowadays I run long distances like a marathon without pain or limitations. Roadbiking, mountain tours, climbing, Ski touring, skiing and snowboarding are not only all contributing in a cross training, but also give me endless joy.

Discipline, motivation and practicality to gain body awareness and performance are two big factors that require a lot of initiative and energy in the beginning, which I would like to support you with as a coach to releave you mentally and increasing your well-being and joy through physical performance, increase your freedom, self-confidence and opportunities for adventures that are based on fitness.

I’m excited to get to know you and see what your training journey reveals to you.

This is your call to show up and create opportunities for new connections - to discover love through body-nature-adventures and create paths, step by step, sometimes quick, sometimes slow, in your flow.

My career:

I have been a dentist since 2014 and a passionate researcher in the areas of longevity, psychology and consciousness expansion since 2017.

I am a ski and snowboard instructor, give personal training in running and guide as a personal development mentor using Human Design and Genekeys as a baseline tool.

My next race is the Düsseldorf Marathon end of April, which I will use as a basic training to start into the summer season 2025 aiming at participating in trail runs, halfmarathons, triathlons and a fast marathon in october.

I look forward to training with you!

Warm embrace,

Your Ulli

Motivation

Yes, it is about running, much more so it is about creating motivation and setting foundations for a healthy joyous, energetic life-style. This Challenge is going to boost your fitness, self-determination, longevity and life force. The intention of an efficient running schedule goes hand in hand with other primal needs and human being blossoms: with the art of posture, attitute, breathing, sleeping and nurturing, as well as the embodiment of selflove, significans and belonging.

Motivation is the result of a motive (Goal) and its activation creating  momentum. In fact, we need to get started first, and be in the game for about 30% before motivation really kicks in and becomes intrinsic. That saying, do not wait for it. Initiate the first step and take this challenge to be accountable.

Empowerment

This challenge will serve as

  • your initiation
  • scientific up-to-date knwoledge straight from professionals
  • a celebration of you in good and hard times and
  • a community of fellow humans that embark into the same runners highs of freedom, feel good and belonging.

Learn about yourself in an empowering journey with results that blow your mind, highten your body awarness or burst limiting beliefs.

Fitness, Performance, Stressrelief

Running serves as a foundational fitness boost for any other sport, as much as it is great as a performance sport itself, and it is amazing for learning personal universal pattern that underlie your mind's perspectives and motivations.

Some of you want to refresh and remind their bodies of its forgotten fitness. Others might want to be accountable with their training to become a finisher of a new achievment goal.

Or maybe you feel the calling for stress relief and to create uplifting energy:  Learning how to enter into the flow-state of running will help you to let go of stressful thinking and refresh your brain activity into a postive productive thinking at ease.  High intensity positive stresses of running (eustress) opposed to negative stresses (disstress) that accumulate in services at busy worklifes or family lifes will boost your longevity. Therefore, Running is going to be your permission to self care and letting go of mental stresses while it will empower your spirit and also feed the animal inside of you. Aligning with your own rhythm and focusing on your bodies potential can have a huge positive impact on your everyday life.
